Supporting Your Angry Child

Supporting Your Angry Child

For as long as Kidlutions has been around, we've been helping parents, educators and other clinicians help angry children. Not one of us will escape this world without experiencing the feeling of anger. And it takes skills to cope with it effectively. Not only do we need skills as adults, but we have to teach those skills to kids. It's one of the reasons we've written so much on the topic of supporting your angry child.

How To Talk to Kids About Anything: Anger and BIG Feelings

Recently, Dr. Robyn Silverman (you'll love her), invited me on her podcast "How to Talk to Kids About Anything" to discuss this very topic. We covered co-regulation, the anger merry-go-round, a bug and a wish, constructing mad boxes, scripting our own calming self-talk, the N.O.W. technique for helping kids with anger and so much more.

You're going to love how Dr. Robyn
"keeps it real". You'll hear how
both of us have helped our
own kids deal with anger.
